Mostly good, minor issue

I bought some Star Dust Sparkle Paint for a craft project. The paint itself was quite pretty and added a nice shimmer, exactly as I hoped. Delivery took about a week, which was okay. My only small gripe was that the lid on the paint jar felt a little loose when it arrived, though thankfully nothing leaked. It just made me a bit nervous opening it. Otherwise, the product was good and the price was fair for what it was.

Easy to use paint

Got some Mineral Magic for a little side table. It went on super smooth, way easier than I thought it would be. Arrived in about 4 days to my place in Ohio. The color was true to what I saw online. Overall a good experience and the table looks way better now.

Good quality, quick shipping

I recently purchased a jar of Mineral Magic Clay Mineral Paint in a deep blue, along with a few sanding sponges and a set of their paint brushes. The ordering process on the website was straightforward, no issues there. Shipping was quite fast; the package arrived in just five days to my address in California, which was impressive. All items were well-packed, and there was no leakage from the paint jar. The Mineral Magic paint itself provided excellent coverage, needing only two coats for a solid finish on an old wooden chair. The brushes held up well and cleaned easily. I haven't needed customer support, but the overall experience was very positive, making it easy to recommend them.

Love Mineral Magic Paint!

I ordered the Mineral Magic Clay Mineral Paint for a dresser project and it was amazing! The coverage was fantastic, and the color was just what I wanted. I'm already planning my next order. I'll definitely tell my friends about Blue Rock Paint!

Consistently great paint

This was my fourth order from Blue Rock Paint, and they're always reliable. I tried their Clear Coat Sealer this time after using their Mineral Magic paint on several projects before. The sealer applied easily and cured nicely, just like their paints always do. Their products consistently deliver good results, which is why I keep coming back. Shipping was prompt again too, which I appreciate.

Can you use their Mineral Magic on laminate? Or is it just for wood stuff?

W William Perez 2 weeks ago
I've used it on laminate with a good primer and it stuck great! Just make sure you prep it well.

Yeah I've done it too, but definitely prime first. Otherwise it might not adhere as well, especially if it's super slick.

Is the Clear Coat Sealer really necessary with the Mineral Magic paint? Or can I skip it for less-used pieces?

R Richard 1 month ago
For anything that gets touched or used regularly, definitely seal it. For like, a decorative shelf that just holds knick-knacks, you might get away without it.

I always use a top coat, even on stuff that isn't high traffic. It just makes it more durable and protects your hard work, especially if you clean it. It's worth the extra step.

Yep! Sign up for their newsletter, you usually get a code pop-up for like 10-15% off. That's how I got mine.

How much coverage does one of those small Mineral Magic jars usually give? Trying to figure out how many to buy for a dresser.

O Olivia G. 2 weeks ago
It really depends on the color and how thick you go, but I can usually get a decent size dresser (like 3-4 drawers) with a single pint. Maybe a little left over for touch-ups.

A pint size usually covers a good amount, like a couple of small nightstands or a medium dresser with two coats. If it's a really dark piece and you're going light, you might need a bit more.

I'm trying to decide between Blue Rock and Fusion Mineral Paint. Anyone have experience with both and can tell me how they compare for furniture?

D Daniel Nguyen 3 weeks ago
I like Blue Rock's clay paint for a more matte, velvety finish. Fusion is great too, a bit more durable on its own without topcoat, but I prefer the look of Blue Rock for vintage pieces.

Fusion is good, but Blue Rock's Mineral Magic feels a little more forgiving to work with, especially for blending. Plus, the color range is awesome.
